Puppies can and should be bathed regularly after the age of 8 weeks. Introducing them to the bathing process at an early age will make the process easier when they are full-grown. The experience is also a wonderful opportunity to bond with your new puppy. The puppy coat goes through many stages. There are several products on the market for puppy coats.

Younger puppies are less tolerant of chills and too-hot water. It is VERY important to use warm water during the bathing process and even more important to keep the puppy out of drafts or cold weather until his/her coat and skin is completely dry.
