The Black Russian Terrier has a close-lying, weatherproof coat that is hard, coase and tight. This breed loses undercoat and should be regularly groomed, and brushed every other day or at least once a week. Hair from the ear ducts should be removed and the hairs under the paws cut. In addition, the Black Russian should be professionally groomed and trimmed several times throughout the year. At least every 4 to 6 weeks.
